Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Southwest Blinds & Shutters wants every visitor — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or magnification — to be able to browse our products, read our advice, and book a free in-home consultation without barriers.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This site was audited against that standard in September 2026, and accessibility checks are part of how we review changes before they are published.
What we have in place
The site is built to work with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers: pages use landmark regions and a skip-to-content link, menus and the booking wizard are fully keyboard operable, images carry text descriptions, forms have visible labels and spoken error messages, colour contrast meets or exceeds the AA thresholds, and animation is disabled for visitors whose devices request reduced motion.
Known limitations
A small number of older blog photographs, imported from our previous website, carry image descriptions that are less specific than we would like. We are improving these as articles are reviewed. If any content is difficult for you to use, the contact routes below will always work.
